Gout is caused by buildup of uric acid, by product of DNA metabolism. The kidneys are supposed to filter uric acid out of the blood and flush it out of the body.

 In patient suffering from gout uric acid crystals are form and deposit in the joints and start irritating the joint?

Colchicine and allopurinol is drug of choice which flushes the crystals from the affected joints. Celery seed extract are used for the treatment of gout. Celery seed contain anti inflammatory compound so 4 tablet of 8oo mg tablet of celery seed extract a day can lower uric acid level. Beside taking Celery seed extract other strategic can also help in avoiding a painful encounter with gout.

Reduce Protein Intake: High protein food such as meats, dairy products, poultry, and fish can raise blood level of chemical called purines. Purine elevates uric acid levels and increases the risk of gout.

Reduce alcohol consumption: Gout attack occurs after evening drinking. Alcohol consumption increases uric acid production.

Drink plenty of non alcoholic fluids: water, a juice, teas, dilute urine and promotes the excretion of uric acid.

Eat berries by the bushel:  Berries contain anthocyanides antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory effect.
It reduces uric acid level

Consume reduce amount of vitamin C and Niacin: Large doses of Vitamin C and Niacin raises uric acid levels. Patient suffering from gout should not take more than 2,000 milligram of Vitamin C and Niacin less than 35 milligram a day.
